Elizabeth part II

So we had to do Elizabeth's shoot in two parts, the second of which happened today at Smith Mountain Lake (her home away from home). We were very thankful that the mid-week weather forecast called for sleet today (yikes!). The weatherman was wrong and we had some good weather with sunshine and a decent temperature. It was another fun-filled day where laughter was abundant.

Elizabeth

Meet Elizabeth. We started the day off bright and early with Elizabeth accompanied by frappuccinos and sunflowers. With the sun at her back and her shampoo commerical hair, she was a beautiful model. But more than that, she made us laugh every step of the way. We are looking forward to the second half of her shoot next week at Smith Mountain Lake and have our fingers crossed for another beautiful day.

Photo booth

So at the wedding last weekend, the bride and groom had an outstanding idea for their guests. A photo booth fully equipped with so many fun props, it was impossible not to smile in front of or behind the camera. What an excellent idea! Everybody who came down had so much fun. It was awesome to be a part of this. Enjoy the pictures. Thanks again to Brian and Amanda for allowing us to be part of such a brilliant day.

Layney

What a weekend! First, we had a beautiful wedding on Saturday, and then the beautiful Layney's senior portrait session today. As usual, we love getting to meet and learn about the people who trust us enough to photograph them. Laney, her mom and sister kept the laughter going throughout the entire session. It was a sheer joy to get to know them better. It was actually quite sad when we had taken enough images and ended the day as we wanted to fun to keep going.

The session started in "Layney's field" as it will be forever known for us now. After taking those shots and then plenty of sports ones (volleyball, basketball and softball), we headed to the park, after stopping by a waterfall, to play around on the fun stuff they have there which really brought out Laney's true fun loving personality. There are a lot of photos to edit from the two sessions this weekend, but it is important to us to give a preview of what is to come on our proofing site. Let the long night of editing commence!

Brian and Amanda

Brian and Amanda got married today. What a day! It was an honor and a privilege to witness their marriage and to document it from behind the lens. The ceremony was at Blue Ridge Community Church and the reception at Amazement Square in Lynchburg. We had so much fun working with this couple and their entire extended families from the great photo opportunities at Amazement Square to lying on the railroad tracks, visiting the skate park to the hilarious photo booth for the wedding guests, which was a huge hit!

Thank you again for letting us be a part of this awesome day. We wish you the very best for the future as you begin your married life together. Enjoy the sneak peek.
