Hope & KJ

So the second of our engagement sessions this week was with Hope and KJ. A chilly early fall evening kept us on our toes as we explored and played in the city cemetary, downtown Lynchburg and a local football stadium. As usual, our couples provide the spirit that keeps our enjoyment going even when the sun goes down along with the temperature. Here's to throwing football passes in near darkness, pushing each other on swings, climbing trees and playing on the railroad tracks. As usual, we get such a feeling of honor and pride to be allowed into the lives of a couple preparing to promise to spend the rest of their lives with each other.

Lauren & Chris

We love being photographers! 2 awesome engagement shoots this week reminded us of how privileged we are to be invited into the lives of couples preparing to dedicate their lives to each other. For eternity. What a big deal marriage is and what a big deal it is being able to share those times with those couples. Chris and Lauren made us laugh harder than ever before on a shoot, which had everything, cat tail fights, origami boats, fishing poles, remote control speed boats, leaf fights and much more. With such a child like, fun loving spirit, how can you go wrong as a couple? It was so hard to pic the images for the sneak peek because of how many different things. We can't wait for the bridal shoot in the spring and for the wedding!

Kylian

So Kylian is a local star softball player and squeezed in her senior shoot between travel ball and heading to California so she can meet with coaches from Hawaii to play in college. The shoot was done at her home in probably the most beautiful part of Amherst County on the shores of a local lake with the awesome fall colors finishing off the perfect backdrop. It was hard to leave her family's home when we were finishing up, especially with Jake, their playful Retriever who was a  blast joining in the shoot too.

Spangler wedding

Wow, we have been busy but are finally getting back on track. So Whes and Patricia are a beautiful couple. They picked a fantastic setting that was new to us for their wedding and we hope it isn't the last time we get to photograph events at Valhalla vineyards in Roanoke. The ceremony and reception took place in a vineyard on top of a mountain overlooking the Roanoke valley at night. A cool fall evening provided a great atmosphere for the event. It was really awesome and full of touching moments.
